Simon S. Christiansen is Nature Interpreter and Head of Skagen Bird Observatory
I have been appointed by Dansk Ornitologisk Forening as the nature interpreter and manager of Skagen Bird Observatory. I have a degree as a teacher and have formerly worked as a volunteer at various bird observatories in the world. I have been a birdwatcher since kindergarten and clearly remember the first time I was able to identify a bird species. It was a Great Tit in a tree in our garden, which started a lifelong passion. The presentation of nature and the bird observatories has been a matter very near to my heart for a long time, so I am very pleased and grateful that I can now concentrate upon presenting the knowledge of birds and nature – together with the volunteers – giving visitors in Skagen a thrilling interpretation of nature.
