Fulmar morning migration along with cool bird !

Nina and Esben tried to open the nets this morning but it was too windy, so they went back to the observatory and Nina get a good sleep while Esben was working on the raptor summary.

Frederik and I went on morning counting at Grenen and it was a very very nice morning, we both very enjoyed it even if it was quite windy. Frederik counted 902 Fulmar (Mallemuk) migrating ! We also get a Northern diver (Islom), a beautiful adult male Montagu’s Harrier (Hedehøg) just over our head and good number of see birds around. With a big group of Gannets (Sule) fishing near the coast, a very nice spectacle to see!

This afternoon Nina and I went for a walk, Frederik work on the sound recording and Esben keep working on the raptor summary.

Today, Simon posted the first movie of a serie of movies who will come in the next weeks. Those movies will show everybody what is the work of the observatory and what we are doing as volunteers. We also hope that it will help to find some founding, and everybody can also donate if they want to help and support the observatory.
